Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the DMV Test Prep mobile application (the "App") developed by ZediApps ("we", "us", or "our").

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

DMV Test Prep is a mobile application that provides DMV permit test practice questions, timed mock exams, an AI-powered study assistant, live camera traffic sign recognition, driver handbook content, and related study tools for all 50 US states. The App supports car, motorcycle, and CDL (commercial driver's license) preparation.

3. Educational Disclaimer

The App is an educational study tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any state Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or government agency.

  • Practice questions are designed to be similar to real DMV exam questions but are not actual DMV test questions
  • The App does not guarantee that you will pass your DMV exam
  • DMV test requirements, passing scores, and question formats vary by state and may change without notice
  • Always verify current requirements with your local DMV office
  • Traffic laws, fines, and regulations shown in the App are for educational purposes and may not reflect the most current laws in your state

4. AI Features Disclaimer

4.1 AI Study Assistant

The AI study assistant uses third-party AI services to answer driving-related questions. AI-generated responses:

  • May contain inaccuracies or outdated information
  • Should not be considered legal advice or official DMV guidance
  • Are for educational and informational purposes only
  • Should be verified against official state DMV resources

4.2 Live Sign Scanner

The camera-based traffic sign identification feature uses AI image recognition. Results:

  • May not always be accurate, especially in poor lighting or unusual angles
  • Should never be relied upon while driving
  • Are for educational purposes only

5. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on your personal device for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.

You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or distribute the App or its content
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Extract, scrape, or redistribute the question database
  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose
  • Use the App to develop a competing product or service

6. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions

6.1 Premium Subscriptions

The App may offer optional premium subscriptions that unlock additional features and remove advertisements. Subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store.

6.2 Auto-Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

6.3 Managing Subscriptions

Manage or cancel subscriptions in Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions on your iOS device.

6.4 Refunds

Refund requests are handled by Apple according to their refund policy. Contact Apple Support for refund requests.

7. Third-Party Services

The App uses third-party services to provide functionality:

  • AI Providers (OpenAI / Google / Anthropic) - AI study assistant and sign recognition
  • Google AdMob - Advertisement display (free version only)
  • Firebase Analytics - Anonymous usage analytics
  • RevenueCat - Subscription management

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content provided by these third-party services.

8. Intellectual Property

The App and its original content, features, question database, and functionality are owned by ZediApps and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

9. User Content

All study progress, chat history, and preferences you create within the App are stored locally on your device. You retain full ownership of your data. We do not access or store your data on any server.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind
  • We do not warrant that using the App will result in passing any DMV examination
  • We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the App
  • We shall not be liable for any inaccuracies in practice questions, AI responses, or traffic law information
  • Our total liability for any claim related to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App or its premium subscription in the preceding 12 months

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ZediApps and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which ZediApps operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
